If you have not already done so, just a friendly reminder that you have until June 30, 2021 to apply for the BC Recovery Benefit. This is a one-time, tax free payment of up to $500 for eligible individuals and up to $1,000 for eligible families and single parents. Visit the government’s website to see if you qualify!
The benefit is available to BC residents, who were at least 19 years old on December 18, 2020. Generally, individuals with net income in 2019 of less than $87,500 will qualify, and families and single parents with net income in 2019 of less than $175,000 will qualify. The Government of BC’s website has lots of good Q & A to help in assessing your situation.
